This is perfect if you have your own snowmobiles. The rest is up to you. Enjoy as many days of Snowmobile Trail riding as you want! We'll tailor a Snowmobiling Package to suit you. Each day in Malartic, Quebec, Canada can offer you a different Snowmobile Trail that will take you to a unique, friendly and safe destination. Start your Vacation days off right with a hot breakfast at our wilderness lodge. At the end of a day's snowmobiling, relax by the fireside lounge or play a game of pool.

Snowmobile Trail Conditions
We are in the middle of the month of March. The trails are suprisingly still good, although some water and road crossing are somewhat difficult. We estimate that we have maybe three or four weeks of snowmobiling left. That's if the weather co-operates. The weather changes quickly, from melting snow one day to snowfalls the next, your best bet for up to date trail information is to give us call and keep an eye on the weather conditions.

There were snow sculpture contests with everything from unicorns to funny faces being carved out of the snowbanks. Hot-dogs, delicious chocolate muffins and juice at the lodge. An afternoon spent on steep snow sliding hills with rubber tubes, skating on a Canadian style ice rink and treks through the woods on snowshoe trails.

Auberge Cartier Hosts School Winter Carnival

Every winter we like to host a couple of school winter carnivals, doing our little part of community service. From the front door of the lodge, the morning started off serenely. This year's saw perfect conditions, traces of snow falls and seasonal temperatures. The kids played some fun games whereas team building skills were the main objectives.

Then the school buses pulled in around 10 AM and out came the kids. The carnival's on!

Snow Games Snowshoes
One competition involved devising the best system to catapult a soccer ball the longest distance using a three foot long piece of 2x4 and a log.
